Moving forward.

Justin and I are trying to buy a house.   We put an offer on a house, it was accepted, and then the home inspection.  Home inspections are scary.  Exterior may look awesome or fixable, but you never know what you are going to find with heating/air, plumbing, or electricity until the home inspection.  We offered on the house December 23.  Merry Christmas to us!  We had the home inspection on December 30th & found that there were many little/big things that were wrong with it.  Here's the house.



 

We have continued to move forward.  The owners offered to give us cash to fix the problems.  So as of now we are having professionals come in a give us estimates of how much it will cost to fix the problems.  

 

Today the professionals came.  I learned today that the heating system installed in the house is a unit that could heat 4 houses. This had to of been installed by a previous homeowner because this is not legal to put in a house this size and the installation was not up to code.  We were told the unit can be fixed to code, but eventually it would be wise to get a new system.  I also learned that the air conditioning will not cool the upstairs very well and that it would be good to get a system put in upstairs also. 

 

The electrician informed us that there were only minor things that are easily fixable in the house.  Shew, that was good news.  Now we are waiting on the plumber to give us more news. 

I'm not sure what we are going to do. Praying for God's wisdom and direction.  Please pray for us too!
