he loves me.

Psalm 56 (TNIV)
Be merciful to me, my God
for my enemies are in hot pursuit
all day long the press their attack
My adversaries pursue me all day long
in their pride many are attacking me

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you
In God, whose word I praise
In God I trust and am not afraid
What can mere mortals do to me?

I like the message version too

Take my side, God—I'm getting kicked around, stomped on every day.
Not a day goes by
but somebody beats me up;
They make it their duty
to beat me up.
When I get really afraid
I come to you in trust.
I'm proud to praise God;
fearless now, I trust in God.
What can mere mortals do?

With everything that has been going on I have really been encouraged lately. I'm not on top of the mountain, but I am slowing climbing back up. I asked the Lord to give me a specific word through the scripture and tonight when I turned to this it was exactly what I have been going through. Then I am reminded that I trust God, and when I am afraid I should trust God even more. To praise him because he removes fear and brings peace. I love my God! I love when he speaks to me in quiet whispers.

Through the rough patches God always seems to bring the nasty out for cleansing and thats exactly what he is doing for me. I have lots of nasty negativity. My mind is consumed with negativity. It is easy for me to look on the bad side before the good. Its easy for me to find fault in everything. I link it to sin, generational sin, the enemy. I believe in freedom and the power of healing. He is cleansing me and healing me. I know soon I will have a new mind full of postive thoughts and a new outlook on life. I want to embrace this hurt, this cleansing and accept it for good! Thanks LORD for cleansing me.

Thanks friends for praying for me.

You are loved! Take heart, Erica. You are not alone in the battle. Your praise to God is inspiring! Listen to Hillsong's Desert Song. I find strength in it. It's on youtube.

Hi There!
I just stumbled on your blog tonight! I want to offer you encouragement and prayers. I have been a SAHM and traveling Army wife for 17 years but I completed my dietetic internship in the 1980's at UK Medical Center (I was also employed at UK and the VA after the internship.) God's Blessings to You.
