RUTH

I just finished reading this book by Francine Rivers. It is just one book out of 5 in the series called Lineage of Grace. The series consists of five women chosen by God who were destined to play a key role in the lineage of Jesus Christ. This one is about Ruth. Francine Rivers does a wonderful job at recreating the stories. I was blessed by this book in finding hope in the midst of life.
I love the story of Ruth. I desire so much to identify with Ruth; to become a servant and love my in-laws and family as much as she does. Ruth displays much Loyalty in her character.

16 But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Ruth 1:16

Also, I was very much reminded of God’s love for his people. He promises to provide for our every need. He is our only need. There are so many times when I get down in the dumps and forget how much he loves us. I need to trust him more often and know he loves me so. The story of Ruth has many examples of God's love for us and what he can do for us in any circumstance through prayer and petition. I need to hear more stories like this where God is faithful and good. Its just another uplifting part of this spiritual journey.

2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phillipians 4:6

If you have any recent stories how God has surprised you, answered a prayer, or how he has shown you love, please share.
