The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. I randomly received a phone call from the health department in Lexington for an interview for the Nutrition Specialist position that was open there. I had put my resume in back in April. In no way was I looking for a new job lately. I was shocked but super excited when I received the call. As a Nutrition Specialist I would be solely working as a WIC leader in the community. With my degree in Dietetics this is the best job I can get without being a Registered Dietitian. I'm so surprised they considered me. I guess all my experiences have paid off. Well, I interviewed and a week later I GOT the job. Woo Hoo! Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging! This is such a great opportunity for me. Now the question rises. Do I apply for internships in February so I can become an RD. As for now, the answer is YES. I'm pursuing whatever GOD has for me. It is in him I find direction, guidance, and light. So, I am praying for discernment, wisdom, and obedience! Thanks to all who have been with me through the whole process. You have been such a blessing!
